Building a brand almost two centuries in the making.
Located in the heart of Lawrenceburg, Indiana sits one of the oldest, most iconic distilleries in the country. Operating since pre-prohibition the only thing this distillery was missing was its name. That’s where MBB came in. We were tasked with creating an identity that honored its heritage and saluted the craftsmanship of rye whiskeys and high rye bourbons that continue to be renowned by the industry.
Two notable names. One identity.
George Ross and William Squibb—two distilling pioneers who once owned and operated our distillery gave us all the inspiration we needed for the name. We are Ross & Squibb Distillery. A distillery that continues to build upon the traditions our founders started with remarkable ryes and bar-raising bourbons.
A visual and verbal identity as bold as the distillery itself.
We understand the importance of making this new brand stand out quickly. After all, we had almost two centuries of stories to share. We went to work pairing bold messaging with even bolder graphics to create an unrivaled look in the spirits category.
Creating an ownable social presence.
Building engagement for a new brand isn’t always easy – especially with no paid dollars supporting the effort. We knew the types of assets and content we were creating would be pivotal to Ross & Squibb’s performance. The results speak for themselves with an engagement rate as high as 20% on multiple posts.
