Director, Insights & Analytics

The role of Director, Insights & Analytics is to play a pivotal part in driving data-driven decisions with the aim of optimizing marketing plans and engagement strategies. In this role, you will be responsible for strategizing with other team members, presenting findings and recommendations to clients, developing and maintaining MBB’s strategic approach to using data, represent the agency as the SME on analytics and directing team members on the collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings for assigned clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the analytics discipline at the agency and present as the expert on the subject both internally and externally
  • Manage the analytical processes, along with corresponding tools, documents, and software, across the agency
  • Collaborate with team members to drive strategic client recommendations based on data, historical learnings, and with driving business outcomes in mind
  • Manage client data inputs and integrate first- and third-party data into reports and/or dashboards for useful, digestible and visual consumption
  • Review the work of and mentor the team on delivering actionable insights, not just prepare a report
  • Identify and execute changes to internal processes to ensure efficient use of resources being applied to client projects
  • Creation of POVs on emerging platforms, trends and implications of industry changes on our business (thought leadership)
  • Recommend, prepare, monitor, and evaluate key conversion metrics and KPI dashboards by analyzing patterns, usage, and trends

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability with emphasis on drawing inferences with data
  • Expertise in using visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Domo
  • Proficiency in writing and understanding SQL queries for data analysis and reporting
  • Proficient in digital analytics and ad management tools, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, and Campaign Manager 360
  • Experienced in implementing and managing Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) tagging
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work within deck-building software (PowerPoint)
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

Experience & Education

  • 7+ years experience in reporting and analytics field; agency experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; degree tracks aligning with math or statistics a bonus
