Yes, yes, you can. The Inaugural MBB Kickball game was last week, and it was one for the books. In addition to walk-up music, victory dances and a game-clinching, unassisted triple play, it was the only time MBB has ever won anything sports-related…and it was only because we were playing against ourselves.
I’ll spare you the details of our athleticism, mostly because I don’t quite understand them. Many MBBers were still trying to figure out what happened when Lydia Young caught the ball while standing on 2nd base and threw it at the runner to not only end, but also win, the game.
After a few post-game (and let’s be honest, pre-game) beers, we were treated to a tour of the KC Bier Co. facilities—and a chance to cool off in their cold storage. The afternoon was equal parts ballin’ and boozin’. The pictures tell the whole story.
