Earned Media Coordinator

This role collaborates directly with the Consumer Engagement team, executing client engagement strategies that include paid and organic social media, public relations, influencers relations and other opportunities. This person will manage smaller client accounts, while assisting managers and supervisors of the department with larger client projects and assignments.


  • Supports department with day-to-day execution of client and department activities
  • Manages clients’ social media channels and uses social media listening tools to monitor conversations.
  • Executes community management, monitoring and reporting across clients’ various social media channels
  • Supports paid social strategy, execution, optimizations and reporting across clients’ various social channels
  • Compiles pre-and post-campaign insights and analysis in regular reports to internal and external clients
  • Assists in the planning and execution of media outreach programs – development of media lists, writing, pitches and tracking results
  • Monitors and reports on media hits and mentions for clients and campaigns
  • Participates and contributes in brainstorm sessions
  • Attends status meetings, team meetings and staff meetings
  • Monitors industry and consumer trends for application to client strategies
  • Pursues opportunities for professional development
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Experience in planning and executing results-oriented communications programs
  • Understanding and experience with social media applications and industry trends – social media content writing and reporting experience preferred
  • Organic and paid social media experience preferred
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit bringing new ideas to the team and clients
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Sharp attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing client and team needs
  • Ability to understand data and apply that to work product
  • Familiarity with Cision, Sprout Social, and other social media listening software; in addition to standard applications like Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote
  • Ability to effectively manage deadlines and to juggle multiple tasks while keeping a keen eye on the qualities of deliverables
  • Enjoyable, collaborative team member


  • 1 – 2 years experience in social media and/or public relations field; agency experience preferred


  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or related fields
